I feel much better now !

Just had to share my good news.
I had my first 3 month checkup with my new endocrinologist today after starting insulin. (Lantus and Humalog).
A1C dropped from 8.2 to 5.3.
I have gained about 12 lbs and am back to normal weight for my height and age. (160).
Only downside is that the C-Peptide indicates that I am Type 1.5 instead of 2, but, no big deal for me.
I relied on my family doctor, who is a great guy, but not a specialist, and struggled to stay in control for a long time.
As you can see, my first visit to an endocrinologist got me straight in 3 months.
Diabetes is a special disease - Rely on a specialist for treatment.

Dan
