Exercise

Which form of exercise is better for diabetics? Weight training or cardio?

Both. You should alternate.

if you had to choose one id say cardio since weight lifting raises your blood pressure. but yeah id say a good balance between the 2 is the best way.

I often see a rise after weights. When I do weights, I usually combine it with cardio to balance it out. Anyone else seen this problem with weight training?

A rise during or after exercise is not a bad thing. It may give your daily meter average a higher number but thats it. You are restocking the "shelves", getting ready for the next load. Because the warehouse is now empty, your sugar should be low for a longer period. This is a good thing.
Too many have the warehouse fully stocked because we never do enough to ever empty it. This is a bad thing. While one person may need to run 10 miles, another just needs 40 minutes walking swiftly depending on your physical condition

I agree with xMenace - the one that you will do.

I spend time on the treadmill 6 days a week. Every other day I add some free weight work.
