Scar Tissue

Greetings.

New member here. I'm 28 yr old male. Had Type 1 Diabetes for 15 years, almost 16 years. I have a question about scar tissue.

I inject my insulin in my abdomen almost exclusively. I've been doing this for 15 years. Now, i'm starting to build up a little scar tissue. I'm looking for ways to lose some of this scar tissue if possible. I hope to increase my daily workout routines to include more ab excercises but i'm afraid that this measure will not be enough. I don't know.

Does anybody out there have any tricks or tips for reducing bulges in the skin related to repeated injections?

Many Thanks.

I've been injecting for about 10 years, and for most of that time, I used a relatively small area centered on my naval. Then I began noting "tough" spots where it was difficult to insert the needle. My endo suggested using a larger area. That has solved the problem for me. Never had any bulges; just tougher skin and tissue.
