from time to time i get someone eating a bar of chocolate, saying to me "oh i'm eating this because i'm diabetic and i missed lunch". which type do you have? "oh its only type 2"

i frequently meet older D's who have recently experienced severe loss of sight following retinol bleeds and such like.

i dont always let on that i am also a diabetic, its more interesting to discuss it if they dont know, i can ask them questions without them feeling weird about it.

many have no idea about eating lower carb diets, nor do they test blood sugars regularly. many dont even know what an A1c is or what the last reults were.
