Thumbs down Allergies and diabetes

I am a type 1.5 diabetic on insulin and metforman. the other morning I woke up feeling nausiated but over the day it subsided. I started an antidepressant that evening and the nausia came back so much so that i slept with a bucket!
This morning the back of my neck has a rash and it is itchy (kind of like when you foot falls to sleep) Also my bg kept going up even though I didn't eat anything, all i had was water and ginger ale and I went from 4 to 14 by morning. I also noticed a bit of difficulty breathing and swollowing not so much that I warrented going to the hospital but enough to make me uncomfortable.

Does anyone have any ideas or insite?
I think it might be my alergy to silver (a necklace I almost always wear) getting worse(it used to only bother my ears- earings). But that still doesn't explain the BG's

I can't help with the rash, sorry, but suggest that the rise in BG could be from the stress from being ill or the Ginger ale.

Do you normally drink ginger ale and it not affect your BG?

I have heard of a neck rash associated with Metformin. But doesn't it seems more likely to be from the medicine you just started rather than from one you were already on? Or perhaps the two together cause it? Don't know if it would be a true allergy. Hope someone else has some insight for you. Have you reviewed the list of side effects and cautions that come with your prescriptions?

I have since seen my doctor he seems to think it is the new medication, but wants me to keep taking a few more days rather than rule it out prematurely. He also did some blood and urine tests and I am suppose to call in im about 6 hours to report how my BG's have been.
