| It does seem that the free market goes out the window when insurance companies get involved... I bought a few bottles of Ketostix urine Ketone test strips myself at the pharmacy for around $8 each. Then I found out that my company benefits package would pay for them if I had a prescription. When I picked up the script I saw the charge per bottle (to insurance) was now closer to $18..!
