| | | Poll: Aspartame or Splenda Which do you prefeer? It doesn't really matter to me but I am thinking about switching to splenda, although it's hard to find Pepsi One at the resturants.

| | | Well I'd rather have neither, but I do drink pepsi max from time to time so Aspartame is the only one I have. I tried splender once with some pnacakes and my blood sugar went throught the roof.

| | Run for the hills! Splenda is evil!
Wait. Run for the hills! Aspartame is evil!
Wait. Run for the hills! Sugar is evil!
Wait...Oh, eat whichever substitute you like, but someone is going to tell you it causes brain tumors or something fun.

| | | A little splenda on hot ceral because, the aspartame leaves a nasty after taste. As a general rule I don't use products with sugar substitutes, because they all leave a nasty after taste, but have not tried any with splenda.

| | | Splenda for cooking Well, I use liquid Splenda for cooking (the powder actually has carbs), but I drink diet soda pretty regularly, so needless to say I have no problem with Aspartame either.
Mind you, after years of the diet soda drill, starting way back with Tab (you wanna talk about an aftertaste), I tried Diet Coke with Splenda a couple of days ago, and to me in was totally nasty... Way to sweet for my taste, and it definitely left an almost overpowering aftertaste. Yuck!

| | | We keep splenda avail. if Thomas wants it but he doesn't usually sweeten anything and he really only likes to drink water.
I will use it if I am baking.

| | Neither! Stevia is always my first choice (liquid or powder). If I'm stuck and forced to choose between Aspartame or Spenda, I'd definitely opt for the Splenda.... but not as long as I have Stevia! Quote: |

I know there's a Diet Coke "mixture" out there (part splenda, part sugar, part aspartame), but I've never seen Splenda alone as a sweetener in Diet Coke.
