Posterial Tibial Tendon Dysfunction

My Podiatrist tells me that I have the above problem, and now have to wear a brace. (which the NHS cant afford, and I have to pay for myself BTW).

I did some research on the net and the two words, 'obese' (I am still overweight, despite losing 20lbs - but working on it). and 'Diabetes' ...........................can anyone throw any more light on this for me? and does anyone suffer from it themselves?

(Not really looking forward to wearing this thing (I have seem pictures, and am ordering tomorrow).

Love Linda

Don't know that I am getting this, but have been experiencing cramps in my left foot and up to my calf. Sometimes when I am walking there is a shooting pain that goes from my foot up between the ankle and achilles into my calf. For several years was unable to sit crossing my left leg on the right one and sitting crosslegged impossible because of the pain in my hip. It maybe I am not walking correctly and developing this if not carefull. Recently I have been able to sit with my left leg on the right one, but only for a little while. Here is what I found; Adult Flatfoot and it apparently affects runners

I have the cramps, but not the shooting pain. I have pain between my heel, and the ball of my foot, on the inside, if you follow me, and then swelling.

This is one of the better explanations I have found:click here
