| | | By far the best book on the subject is DR. BERNSTEIN'S DIABETES SOLUTION. I felt empowered to take control of my diabetes after reading it. Google the title for more info.

| | | Thanks, Mark. But I'm no fan of the low carb schemes. And the mere title of the book (The solution) sounds like too much of a promise. But perhaps I'm preconceived and should give it an open mind?

| | | Another good one is Using Insulin by John Walsh. If you are using a pump, get Pumping Insulin by the same author.

| LIke you , I'm NO fan of low Carb, but I have read the good Dr.'s book, as with all Diabetes books I can get my hands on. I have "Put together" a list, book, whatever you want to call it of the parts of the ones that I've read that work for ME or that prefer.
My wife was worried that I was following my own advice and not doing stuff like she had seen/knew her father did------but, my worst A1c had been 5.7---I'd say, wander through all the books you feel like reading and create your own path. As long as the #s are good, that's all that matters.

| | | I'm impressed by your HbA1c. Sounds like your "list" or compilation could be interesting. Is it available somehow? | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
