confused with this

Hi all
i am new here.i have been diagnosed two years back with type 2.my age is 34 right now.my blood sugar levels are 140 at fasting and 170 at random, currently i am not using any pills or insulin.
diabetics has affected me as i have lost a good amount of weight but the thing which really worries me is my sexual health,
i have been married now for 11 years and been enjoying a good sex life with my wife but for the last 6 months i have noticed that my erections are not strong as before.
this is a new situation for me and i am very worried about it and i dont know what to do..sometimes i think of using viagra but then i dont want to depend on any pill for having sex the entire life.
can any one there help me ?

140 fasting on a regular basis is not a good thing. Get back to a doctor, and get on some type of treatment, or sex won't be the only thing you're missing.

When my levels were out of control at first, I had similar issues. Much better now.

I am female, but I have come across several male family members w/ T2 with this problem. One of them got his blood sugar under control enjoyed his life GREATLY. The other remained w/ severe Hyperglycemia and his sex life came to a complete stop, not to mention his frustrations.

I encourage you to get in contact with an Endo as soon as you can. The faster you come into tighter control, your life will be sp MUCH better!
GOOD LUCK!

You wouldn't want this to become permanent.

BTW, having B/G go too low can do the same thing

ahhhh what are you waiting for? Christmas? guess what it's done and gone. Get yourself to your doctor now...at 180 you are doing perm. damage to your body. Normal blood sugars are 70-120. You are way over that range. It's time to do something now or your sex life is going to take a beating.

http://www.google.com/search?num=100...e%3A+impotence

Check out the 4th bullet point! God thats effin scary when diabetes is in the definition of impotence! I read on the web though that sexual dysfunction with diabetes rarely occurs before 15 years after being diagnosed<?>.
