I suggest you download it first an then play it. I was particulary interested in his views on what "normal" blood sugar is. Lots of useful ideas for both T1 and T2.

I was interested to hear him say that type 2s can become type 1s just because they start to use insulin - now I'm very confused

He said just the opposite, Type II can prevent themselves from becoming insulin-dependant by using insulin. Yes, sounds confusing. Think of it this way, if you are dependant you MUST have your insulin, but if you use insulin as an addition, as a type II, you maybe would never get to that stage.
