Question Rebounding

I have a question for you all, I'm wondering if any of you experience this. Whenever I drop from a high to a low or vice versa, I am completely exhausted. It knocks me out. Sometimes I even have to lie down and nap for a while. Does anyone relate to this and how do you deal with this rebounding effect?

Yes, I find that one nasty low can pretty much wipe me out for the rest of the day. I'm lucky - I work for my husband, out of our home, so I have to ability to take it easy when I need to. It's important to take care of yourself, and if you're wiped out, you have to take it easy a bit. I assume you treat the low w/ some sugar to get it back up as quickly as possible - do you get a high reading afterwards? Because high b/s can make you feel fatigued and exhausted too.

Rebounding

yes, lows make me tired, highs make me tired

Although stolen from Blazing Saddles it applies to Diabetes quite nicely

Thanks for responding .

Mainly the exhaustion comes from when I drop from a high to a low or rise from a low to a high. I do try to treat my low most of the time, but perhaps my body trys to protect me from dropping too low, so I rebound and have a high. I think that could be an explanation.

Rz, I like that passage you added. I agree, it definitely could be applied to Diabetes.

Huh. Never made a connection between Diabetes and my random naps.

Maybe now my wife'll stop teasing me about them.

No... I've napped for a long as I remember, but I've only been Diabetic for a year (tested perfect two years ago.)

I'll lay a bit and keep myself physically active afterwards or probably there I am still lying!

But if it wasn't that severe I'd keep going really, little bit of movement is good, resets the body, circulates both the sugar and the insulin ,pumps up the blood everywhere in the body and makes a good mix!
