Will they cover a dietician for your 57 allergies? I think think that may you way in. And then tell your dietician that you are diabetic and want to cut out bad carbs.
As for the shepards pie, why worry about the beef and if your's has corn, limit or exclude it, for the potato, sweet potatoes may work, cauliflower may work or a combo of the two. Just don't pile it on too thick

My diabetic educator's office has many pamplets and diet items laying around the reception room for people to take. I have been told if I know someone who can not pay they have a special program to take care of the fees for any one who does not have insurance or who's insurance will not cover their programs. They also have group support time that is free and loaded with information, books, drug reps giving out information and meters etc. I have found a lot of good from attending these meetings. Look carefully in your area to see what is available free.

Look closely more stuff is out there than apears at first glance!

So glad you are open and trying to get better with all this carb stuff.

I have documents from my nutritionist appointment. It cost me $150.00. And I would be more than happy to fax them or scan them and email them to u. let me know. It is very useful information if u just follow the rules.
