Nutrigrain Strawberry Bars

These are my new obsession. How bad do you think they are for me, if I take proper insulin before hand? My sugars go crazy all the time as they are, so I can't really tell as it is.

One bar has 24 grams of carbs and 12 grams of sugar. I usually eat one or two before working out to prevent from going low. I assume the fiber in them helps me, also.

As with anything else: Test, test, test, then once you know how your body handles them go from there.

Hope they work out well for you!

Steve,

As genie said, testing is the key. How much fiber is in each bar?

2g of fiber in each bar. They seem to be fine for me so far.

SO 22g of carbs (24 carbs - 2 fiber). Too high for me, but if they work for you, great!

Steve, I eat them from time to time myself. As long as you are covering for them (with the insulin and exercise), I don't think they will be much of a problem. Like genie and Dave have said, testing is the key. Try one when you aren't exercising to see how you do then, too.

Good idea! I have been on a real exercise kick lately, but it won't last for long I'm sure, so I'll make sure to test then.

I keep forgetting different foods affect people differently. Sorry!
