V8 ?

Do any of you guys drink V8?

Had much success with it not affecting your BG levels?

Still on a quest to find out what is okay and not okay to eat.

I have a 6-pack of the larger cans, low-sodium, at home. I like the smaller ones for snacks, but they DO have carbs ... the bigger ones are too MUCH carb for me!

The regular stuff has WAAAY too much sodium for anyone concerned about BP (and you should be, somewhat at least!).

Diet V8 Splash- There's hardly any carbs per serving, and tastes great. This isn't like the normal V8 juice, it's more of a fruit drink. There's also Diet Ocean Spray which also has almost no carbs.

I LOVE V-8! I buy cases of the regular stuff at Costco and doctor it with Tabasco, fresh ground pepper, some secret herbs & spices, and a little lemon juice for a killer Virgin Mary!.

I adore V-8, but since I abhor the low sodium version (thank goodness for low/normal BP), it's an occasional treat. If I drink eight ounces of it alone, it can cause a fair rise (10 grams of carb, if memory serves). But I find that drinking it with a meal minimizes my BG response...even if that meal is breakfast, when I'm usually more carb sensitive.

Portion control is definitely of the essence with ALL juices, for me!

I'll have to grab a 6 pack and see what it does to my BG then.
I love V8 and since I can't drink any of my Cranberry, apple, cocktail fruits of 5 different kinds anymore .... I'll have to find a suitable replacement.

I can't say it will be ok for you, in taste or BG behaviour, but one of my favourite drinks is a generous shot of cranny in a short glass of water. It's like the grown up cordial I have been searching for my whole life I use normal/sugared, as it doesn't seem to impact me much (and I can bolus), but there is the diet cranny as well. The normal would be about 8g carbs for a shot. The diet... something like 4g? Check it out. Apart from a little antioxidants, it's hardly a "good" drink but may give you some real juice taste for a much lower BG cost than many other options.

I find V-8 to be the perfect thing to recover from lows with.. the big cans are only 70 calories, no fat, 14 carbs ( I think there's some fiber in there too)... but I think they're great for lows...
