Smile Holy Cow Where Did I Go?

Well, what do you know, after 4 1/2 months with D, low carbing and a little exercize I've lost 50 lbs.

When I first started the weight loss was @ 4 1/2 lbs per week but has since tapered off to @ 2 1/2 lbs per week. But that's o.k. as I'm satisfied and really enjoying what I do eat.

I'm in this for the long haul and I can see myself eating like this for the rest of my life (although I did have to ask beloved husband to finish off his dark chocolate quickly) and being quite happy with it.

About the only thing I really miss is the smell of homemade bread in the oven.

Thanks to dear DF friends, I can count on you every day.

How wonderful and what a inspiration for the rest of us. You deserve a reward, something like a cruise in the spring or at least some flowers.:

    Oh wow that is GREAT!

Yes, I too miss the smell of my bread baking ... but getting to use real cheese and real cream is a pretty decent tradeoff.

Congrats,Dis n Dat, on the wt loss. Good for you or as they say in my land, youns. I,too,am amazed at being able to eat things I so carefully avoided or limited, for 20 years. Half n half in my coffee, eggs n bacon. All this and still lose wt. My wt loss has not been as rapid as yours and have lately hit the wall of plateauing. But am finally starting back losing, slooooowly. But as you have discovered, this is a lifestyle that goes on forever. I enjoy having to be so creative to get that full feeling. Not sure I ever quite reach that really full feeling. Anyway, keep it up.

I once came across kitchen sprays... chocolate, strawberries, lemon loaf. I wonder if they would have freshly baked bread?

Congrats! You must be so happy and feel wonderful. Have you had an A1C done lately? C'mon! Show off your numbers

Oh, Georgia...you are amazing. I'm very impressed with your weight loss results in so short a time. You must be thrilled. I'll bet your A1c is gonna make you smile.

You've really inspired me now to stop whining (to myself), get off my duff and speed up this trickling weight loss of mine...and drop my A1c in the process. I can exercise and don't.
    Lack of time's no excuse.

    Congratulations, Sweetie. OUTSTANDING work.

    Hugs,
    Josselyn

While I am pretty much down to a trickling loss myself, I weighed myself this morning, figuring I am at the bottom of my little descending oscillation -- I was right and it puts my BMI (for what it is worth) at 25.2! Motivating, I must say.

I eat very small amounts of food religiously at 2 hour intervals.
