| | | New Cranberry Juice - 2 carbs per serving!! This morning I went to the grocery store to get some of that Ocean Spray Light (just 10 carbs per serving) when I saw something new: DIET Ocean Spray at 2 carbs per serving!!! I'll drink this stuff all the time. And since it's new, it was on sale. ($1.25 for 33.8 oz.).
My only question is . . . will this be as effective in fighting off UTIs and helping support good kidney health? I'll believe it is until I learn otherwise.

| | | Its the tannins found in cranberries that help with urinary tract infections.....the stronger the concentrate of cranberries, the stronger the tannins. If this is a very dilute mix, it may take more of it to have the same amount of tannins as opposed to regular cranberry juice.
The urologists I work with recommend cranberry capsules for our diabetic patients who have problems with UTIs as well as interstitial cystitis, as the acid in the jfruit uices can also exacerbate IC.

| | | My Father had a triple A (Abdominal Aortic Aneurism) about 8 years ago and had dreadful problems with an UTI afterwards. Both the surgeon and his GP recommended Crannberry juice, which definitely helped him, he swears by it now.

I am getting some cranberry capsules too, like Linda mentioned.

| | | I've been drinking this since it came out on the market. It also comes in Grape flavor, if you can find it! Because it only has 2g of carbs, I never bolus for it!
Here's something I bet you didn't know...........The company is partnering with Bacardi to introduce the "5-0 Cocktail Collection," a line of mixed drinks containing a maximum of 50 calories. I like to add vodka or cranberry flavored vodka to my juice!

It tastes great, but it isn't as strong, or mouth puckering as the Light version (10 carbs per serving)! And nowhere close to as strong as the sugarladen version w/38 carbs (approx) per serving.
It's just 5 calories per serving.
