Exclamation Super Bowl Sunday

How are you going to stick to your diet? I have been looking and cannot find a diet that allows chili dogs and beer.

Okay have the low carb beer, but what about the food?

High protein: bratwurst, wings, scallops, bacon, eggs, steak, weiners ... there's lots to choose from.

I'm whipping up a batch of homemade hot sauce right now. I have 40 scotch bonnets, 8 jalepeno's, 12 fingers, and a bunch of sprinkled cayenne in it so far, besides the other stock veggies, vinegar, EVOO, s and p. Boil the snot out of it and run her through the food processor.

A fellow chili head! I grow my own peppers and love the scotch bonnets or habaneros. I've made my own sauces many times. Once, while boiling a bunch of the habaneros in vinegar, the house became filled with the fumes from the peppers. It was like pepper spray and so bad that we had to evacuate the house for awhile. Definitely be careful with those really hot ones!

I made real homemade buffalo wings last week. Now you've got me wanting to make some homemade hot sauce and another batch of wings for next weekend...

I make "Bottle Rocket roll ups (thin sliced ham spread with cream cheese with a green onion in the middle. Looks like a firework when its all rolled up! Buffalo wings with home made Blucheese dipping sauce. Dill dip with celery & cauliflower. I miss chips the most tho.

xMenace, you mentioned eggs. I save my dill pickle juice and make pickled eggs (with gobs of added garlic). Couple the eggs with that beer and you need an industrial sized exhaust fan about 1/2 time, lemme tell you. Phew!

I don't follow a "diabetic diet"...as I don't believe one exists. I do count calories, however. Luckily for me...a ballgame doesn't make me overeat...I just enjoy the game and eat whatever...take bolus for carbs, of course.

Ok... we make spicy artichoke and parmesan dip with not so low carb Triscut crackers or warm tortilla chips with cheese. BBQ'd little smokies with homemade BBQ sauce. Coronas with lime for me or sugar free margaritas and Modelo Negro or Sierra Nevada for my hubby. Somewhere in the day there has to be a batch of popcorn.
