Diet question.

Okay, since Feb this year I've been on a meal plan (dietician devised it). To cut a long story short, I started cutting out carbs for better control/lower numbers, I had lots of lows and my weight dropped quite a bit (Nov I was 42.2kilos Feb I dropped to 38.7kilos).
My D team was concerned and that's essentially what prompted going on a meal plan (about 150 carbs, no low fat food i.e. full cream milk, full fat yoghurt, add margarine to sandwiches, toast etc).
I was reviewed again in one month (March) and my weight dropped again to 37.9kg. The dietician upped the portion sizes and had me add milo to plain milk all the time. So I was eating around 180 carbs/day
I was reviewed again last week, managed to gain .1kg (38kg). Meal plan was left alone.
Had some tests done by my endo last week too, don't know the results of everything, but it seems I am not absorbing fat so I guess that could be contributing to the low weight, I don't know. I won’t speak to the endo until tomorrow + have to go for a scan next week.
Anyway, my Mum heard from my dietician today. She has now got me on a low fat/low carb diet, 15g carbs or less for main meals and 10g carbs or less for snack. Complete opposite of what my endo and educator wants me to do.
Anyway, my question will that help to gain weight, looking at it my Dad and I are a bit confused and think it will make me lose weight (nb I'm 38kg 156cm // 83.6lb 5ft 1) .

I calculated your BMI - it's 15.5, which means you are underweight. A healthy weight for your height would be considered to be 45kg+

I do not understand your diet plan either - low carb/low fat is by definition a low calorie diet. This makes absolutely no sense considering your current weight.

I think you need to check your diet plan out with your endo. It may be that the diet plan is designed to take account of your fat absorption issues. However professionals do make mistakes/unwise decisions, and I believe that you need to question the logic behind your new diet plan.

Hi thanks. I spoke to my endo and dietician last week, there was some confusion. The only change was a allowing for a minimum of 1 carb choice/15g cho at dinner time. Rest of the plan is the same. Also just started something called creon forte so I'll probably need to speak to my dietician about that in case anything needs to be changed.
Thanks again!
