Sugarfree Jelly beans

I'm not sure if this is the best place to put this thread, but I think that it is the closest to on topic

Many of you know that lately I've been craving jelly beans like you wouldn't believe. I can't seem to get enough of them! But, it has been killing my bg's.

Well, my sweet husband just came into my work because he found the most wonderful thing in the world! Sugar free jellybeans!!!!!!!! I'm completely in all my glory right now!!!! And, it is not too bad as far as carbs are compared to the real jellybeans. These are 36 grams carb for 34 jellybeans. Whereas in the real stuffs, it is that same amount of carbs for about half of the beans! And, the greatest part is that they are those brach's brand ones. Those are the most yummy of all!!!!

Thank you for listening! Have a splendid day!

Be careful. If they are sweetened with sugar alcohols, they may cause some problems (upset stomach if you have too many).

I am happy he found you your treat! That is love! He was walking around in the world thinking of you and found exactly what you needed and brought it to you at work. What a sweetheart!!

I had that happen to me when "I" discovered sugarfree jelly beans, years ago at the mall! Needless to say it was not a pretty picture, and I have hated jelly beans ever since!

1st, this is a proper and important topic for the Diabetes discussion board, the reason we are all here

2nd, However: Thanks A Lot for Loading me up with All the Images

3rd,

from Harry Morgan as .... Major General Bartford Hamilton Steele (his 1st appearance on "M*A*S*H" in 1972, before he became Col. Potter)

During a tour of the camp, Gen. Steele notices the latrine is a "Two-Holer"

"A Two-Holer, eh? Excellent, it allows the men to encourage each other."

Personally I don't like the texture of SF jelly beans. My mom bought the Jelly Belly brand for me and she ended up eating them...

They were pretty disgusting just to chew. Not to mention the laxative effect.

how many carbs of sugar alcohols is to much i wonder??? i had a chocolate bunny for easter of course it was SF. and i ate like the whole bunny, bolused for the carbs and was feeling fine after....really makes you wonder.

some things i like are SF and some i dont like. i love the NSA chocolate, and NSA M&M type of things....they are a good candy for the sweet tooth (and yes being diabetic makes this sweet tooth worse lol)

I didn't understand what this meant until today.

Now, I understand all too well.

But, that is the beauty here The carbs are a lot less for this one! You can have about double the beans for the same amount of carbs. So, just eat half the beans, and you are low-carbing it! Yay

Well I have sooo learnt my lesson and will only buy the hard sf lollies (cause the chewy ones are too nice and I eat the whole pack! ). I just discovered Weight Watchers jelly and ate it two minutes ago - really sweet tasting and zip calories and carbs. I am going to make sure I have a few made up in the fridge. How long can you keep jelly for?
