sports performance

I have been Type 1 for over thirty years without "complications". I am also a competitive cyclist but each year I become less so. My decrease in performance goes well beyond BS control (pump-user). I believe I may be experiencing complications that effect energy production/transportation on the cellular level. As my training progresses through the season I become
more and more fatigued during hard efforts and never recover (it's not cardio fitness or muscular weakness and/or that its simply overtraining) My creatin levels have always tested good. Does anyone have information on glycogen replenishment, ATP production or metabolic effects of insulin or any other insights?

Thanks
Joe

Joe how long has it been since you have had a complete physical, along with through blood work done? Do you get copies of your lab work?

My last physical was about a year ago - I seem to have them about every two years or so. I do go through my lab results pretty closely but I have not requested copies of them.
