| | | My exercise. I worrked hard on my treadmill during the winter to strengthen my leg muscles. In the early spring I started walking outdoors. I walked only one mile per day at first. I am 67 and I cannot jog because of bad knees and some arthritis. By the end of the spring I was walking three miles in one hour. I always choose a route with some hills. I do this every day , weather permitting. I have lost 8 pounds and one inch in my waist. I still need to lose 31 more pounds. I realize I should exercise my upper body too but I have a back problem and I have carpal tunnel problems in my hands and wrists.

| | Richard157, have you looked into a water strength training program? I too have a back issue, and thought I couldn't lift. 4 months of water workout and I now lift in the gym 3 times a week, and my back is better than it's been in years.
I lift 3 times a week, with 25 minutes of elliptical. On the other days, I usually do 30-40 minutes of aerobics on recumbent bike or treadmill. Unless I can tell the office off and go hiking
I've dropped nearly 50 lbs, improved my diabetes, and feel good. I still have some more to lose, but I find I'm actually enjoying doing it. |

| | | Hi! I'm new here, a T1 on a MM522 pump. I'm on my feet 8 hrs a day, then M-W-F I go to the gym to use the eliptical, bike, or run/walk on the treadmill. I'm only there about 30-40 minutes because I'm anxious to get home! Sometimes in the evening we walk the dog for about only a mile or so.

| | | Walk the dog 1 1/4 miles early morning every day.
Curves circuit 3x a week.
Karate class 2-3x a week.
When my home office is remodeled in late September, I will also have an elliptical in there (for those long, boring conference calls, heh heh!)

| | | I keep moving just about all the time. I do lots of yard work about 6 months out of the year & clean my own house and work my 2 jobs (no kids, but VIPets). If I don't move enough, I can't unstick my sore joints! I used to sit at a computer a lot more than I do now -- I blame that keyboard for almost wrecking my right shoulder!
I physically act much younger than I am, which keeps me in better shape.

| | | For the last two months every other day I've been doing a full 90 min workout at the gym and 30 mins of cardio on the eliptical.
On the days that I don't do a complete workout it's any where from 40-60 minutes of cardio.
On the weekends I do a little mounain biking or sailing.
In two months I've dropped my body fat down to less than 19%, and I'm working on getting it down to 15%. At the same time I've gained 8 lbs of muscle mass. I'm actually looking better in shorts!
But this winter it's all about the snow!

| | My favorite exercise is running and I try to go for a 5k 4-5 times a week. I also like to swim and bike. I might train for a triathlon next year
I like to do a lot of other things like kayaking, rock climbing, cross-country skiing, etc. I also love hiking especially where there are beautiful mountains, but there are none around where I live |
