I hope that's snow and not ice. My arm is sore today from hacking an inch of ice off of my car and my mom's. Our van still just has little peepholes out the back windows!

I haven't ventured out yet, but I guestimate 8 inches of it. The plow just finally went by adding another ton or so to the driveway.

I'd LOVE to wake up to something like that....NEVER get snow in these parts! I don't envy your having to "de-snow" the car, but i'll bet the kids are happy.

How much does it have to snow before you guys get to stay home? Here, if we get more than a couple inches of snow, EVERYONE freaks out and schools and businesses close.

Also, do you make snow ice cream? We did that back when I was a kid and we actually HAD winter. Can you make it with Splenda?....gotta know just in case old man winter comes to TN this year.

Be safe!

The last time I stayed home was the blizzard of 78, and then it was not so much the snow as it was the accumulation of cars on 128

School was cancelled today, and I am working at home. It was pretty slippery stuff. It's not yet real cold, very borderline.

We had 24 cms of snow yesterday. Schools were mostly open, but school busses were cancelled. (aka Parents can drive their kids to school for free babysitting services if they want)

When I was a kid in Halifax, school was cancelled all the time for big storms.......

We got a nice dusting of snow on Saturday. Then the rain came...all the snow went away.

Now we've got flooding like crazy around here... we live on a hill so no worries about flooding, slight worries about erosion (but not really)... The kids were mad that schools weren't closed for them. We just didn't get enough flooding for the buses not to cross the valley.

I would give anything to just once wake up to snow like that. It doesn't snow where I live. Only once did snow every fall here and leave a slight dusting on the houses and cars. I was out of the country.....

It looks beautiful.

I knocked a foot of snow off my truck and drove to work this morning. I can work from home if I want to but I just got back from vacation and I wanted to prove that I still exist.

Still snowing here - wohoo!!! I can't get enough.

After getting out and attacking it with my son, it's definately more like a foot, maybe more. The local news says as much as 40cm fell in places which is pushing 15 inches. It's pretty ****ing heavy stuff!

WOW, John. You certainly got in your exercise for the entire month, shoveling snow by hand! Ask Santa to bring you a snow blower! LOL

We're planning to stay only two more years until the kids are out of school. But three more inches last night ... If it stays until January, and it never has before as we're very close to the warming ocean, we could have some huge piles.
