Slightly elevated FBG following hard day

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday, dealing with the winter blah's I added a 25 mile roller session to my Monday routine. (Rollers are a form of riding a bicycle indoors atop three rolling cylinders, two of which are connected by a belt making the front tire turn at the same speed as the rear tire -- it is light training but gets the blood moving)

Anyway, my FBG was markedly up this moring with a reading of 105. For all of December and January my readings have been in the low 90's with the occasional dip into the high 80's. I have to say that my muscles were pretty sore after what amounted to a double session of exercise (Bowflex in the am and rollers in the afternoon). I have also noted that my FBG tends to be above 100 during the high-cycling season when sore muscles are the norm.

The question becomes: does a heavily worked muscle cause a higher liver dump in the morning after? Has anyone else noted this effect?

You may have bottomed out at night too (Symogi Effect) and had a slight dump. There's also meter variations, foreign substances on your fingers, and the alignment of planets to consider.
