| | | Best time to walk ? I have found that the best time for walking is 1 to 2 hours after a meal, when your insulin and blood sugar levels have settled down. I have always enjoyed morning walks since it avoids the peak insulin part of my day. When do you all walk?

| | For me short walks are best. Like you said I really like early morning walks after breakfast before work. Late evenings work well also. A breath of air before turning in for the night seems to help me sleep well.
But the main thing is get up and DO it.

| | | I tend to do evening walks, as I have trouble keeping my fasting blood sugars within normal limits. Walking in the evenings does help with this. Also, with my schedule, morning walks are more difficult...but I can see how this would "jump-start" your day with lots more energy.

| | | I walk 3 times a day if I can. Love my noon walks since it takes me to the beach. It also depends on my schedule, and once my NEW bike gets tuned up, I'll be riding to/from work as well.

| | | When I was walking on our local Greenway, I walked in the early afternoon. I loved that because my BG seemed to stay down for the rest of the evening and really helped with my post-dinner numbers!

| | | My DH and I walk a couple of hours after supper, which for us may be as late as 10 p.m. We eat late.
I can't do the early morning exercise thing. I'm a total idiot until I've been up about an hour. I'm surprised I can muster the coordination to test my BG! LOL.
Call me a vampire. I wake up when the sun starts to go down. Heheh.
