Wow

So today I decided to upgrade myself from walking and give jogging a try.

well..............

I like the feeling of doing it and knowing its good for me but...

IM SO OUT OF SHAPE! haha oh god i thought i was going to fall over in the middle of the road.I never realized just how out of shape i was until i tried that.
I desperately need to quit smoking so that will hopefully make it easier...

Just thought I would rant on how out of breath I am..

*grins* I tried that too! I jogged for maybe half a minute before I ran out of steam... then I couldn't get my energy or breath back and had to turn around

But I was laughing even as I made my loser way home

Well I tried to push myself through so that I could atleast say I did 10 minutes.
I pretty much did what that program says and jogged/ran a minute or 2 and then walked some and then did it again. My legs are sore so Im going to start stretching before I try that again.
Needless to say im sore and tired...But happy.

Hey- I got hooked on running back in March. I really like it and haven't been able to stop. I have a half marathon scheduled for December. Running is addictive. I see people on the side of the road running and I get jealous that it isn't me. Just wait and see...

Keep up the good work. Running is very good for you and....good luck with quitting smoking. It's definately not a good combination (smoking & running)
I quit 4 years ago this past February. I tried to smoke one day recently, and I just can't do it. So I am living proof that quitting iss possible. I replaced the habit with sugarfree gum.

I'm in the same boat right now. Going to go join the Y again (spent most of my childhood there). Curves just isn't cutting it for me.

I actually printed off the workout and will perhaps try to do it. Hmmm. There is a 5K Turkey Trot in Detroit...maybe I should sign up and then would HAVE to follow the plan in order to get in shape enough to do it.

I had to chuckle because it reminded me of a guy I saw jogging and smoking at the same time. No joke.
