sidelined by plantar fasciitis

I am crabby. Tomorrow marks one week since the last time I was able to go out for a run at the end of the day.... I went running Saturday before last for a long distance and on a surface (woodsy trail) different from what I usually run on. I think all the roots and unevenness coupled with the long distance stirred up my plantar fascia tendon. Then I went on a three mile run last Tuesday and that made it even worse. So now I am limping all over the place, it is too painful to even walk barefoot around the house - I have to wear shoes all the time AND I can't run.

Anyway, I was reading about plantar fasciitis on the internet and in the first paragraph on one site I see it says "this condition is more commonly seen in people with diabetes." ARGH! Have you all noticed that no matter what condition/ailment one looks up, it always says that?! *sigh*

Sorry for the whining, but the lack of activity is really driving me nuts....On the bright side, I did visit the podiatrist last week to have orthotics made for my running shoes and will have them in two weeks. Hopefully by then I will be ready to go again!

Sorry you are feeling so bad Dixie.
Hopefully you will be up and running in no time!

Join the crowd Dixie. Although I am not suffering from the foot problem, I have been feeling like ****.

I have been experiencing nausea, headaches and I am extremely tired. I also have a sore throat but I did a strep test on myself and it was negative. Sugars could be better but thankful they are not over 200.

Hope you feel better and get to moving around.

Dixie, I sympathize completely. I have it too, some days I can barely walk, others there is no problem. Hopefully yours will calm down and you can get running again.
