After I posted above this morning, I thought to myself, you probably won't get that walk in. You're going in to work today and you'll probably get home, it'll be late, getting dark, and you'll say to yourself, you already walked 6 days, just go ahead and take today off. Well, I just got back from a 40 minute walk, my long route, and it felt great!

I would argue that if you're going to exercise using rope would be MUCH easier, but, if you're committed to thread then I really admire you.

Did 45min spinner bike ride while listening to Rise Against. Crank it down during the fast parts of the songs. Weight training, push ups, sharks, medicine ball. Down from 265lbs to 210lbs and my goal weight is 190. I think I can... I think I can... I think I can...

Thats awesome progress. spinner bikes and spin classes are great workouts, wish my gym had them. down 55lbs with 20 to go id say.... I know you can...I know you can...awesome job keep it up!

Ill throw this short story out there for those of you trying to lose weight. I hang out on a forum for triathlons. There is a group of people doing lake placid this year that share training tips and stories. There is a guy on there who signed up for Placid last July when he weighed 310lbs ( think hes 5'10")...hes down to 270-280 now and think he wants to be 220 by july. I have no doubt in my mind that this guy will make it and finish an IM race. 140.6 miles is hard...to decide to take on that challenge when your 310lbs is hard core! Ill keep you up to date on how his progress goes.

dusted off the stationary bike, & have done 4 @ 5 minute rides so far today & will do at least one more stint later. I have missed my walks, but we have the rain & wind storms at the moment, so it is much easier to stay in, ride the bike & watch tv. When it is dry, we do a good walk every evening.

Sorry for the above comment...I think the excessive training is taking its toll on my brain. Im wiped out. Today I have to work, but its my day off from training. Much needed break, I feel great while Im exercising but legs are shot if I sit for more than 5 minutes.

Weekly tally 8976 yards swimming (5.1mi) - 4:55 biking (mix of trainer and outside this week...nice to get out!) - 34.5mi running

      12 weeks down - 18 to go...

      weekly entertainment...7116 yds swimming / 6:17 biking / 27.4 mi running
got out and did a 61.5mi bike last weekend averaged 19.83 mph which is good for me...course was flat and winds were light, but way further along than I was last march. Did a "swim test" and took off 3 sec/100yds vs 6weeks ago...will save me a whopping 1min 27 sec in an "Iron Distance" race lol...but better than getting slower I guess. I mention the above gains because this is the 1st year I have followed a "plan". This plan is all time based vs distance based, so you can schedule it much easier. My gains are far greater than the last couple years where I just "wung it". I think I am actually putting in less time than last year...but putting that time into structured workouts seems to work...i mention this so any of you thinking about following one of the million free plans out there might want to try it.

Hallo to all my exercise cyber buddies! An MRI has been ordered
and I do a 25 min. walk every day, then apply some ice and stay off my knee.

I do great with hard challenges that require enthusiastic action.
It is hardest for me when I have to sit, do much of nothing and wait some more.
Patience is something I've had to work hard for, slowly- over time.
      (whispers*** "Aren't we done yet?")

Looking forward to getting back in the saddle.
Hope you're all well and doing what makes you happy,
      Pink

Ok, I'm going to try to start some sort of exercise. So this afternoon I'm going to walk my dog. Not really a good idea because when my DH walks him, it ends up with DH carrying dog home.

I can't walk 5 minutes worth right now. But hey, have to start somewhere. I have been walking up to my mailbox occasionally, but I don't keep it up. So I plan to use this area of this board to force me to get busy moving my bod. I used to have it measured out in yards with a long measure tape but can't remember where the lines were.

All I plan to do is make it to the mailbox today.
