| | Beth, of course you're nervous...any kind of procedure is scary, esp. regarding your eyes, but you'll be fine. Hang in there!
Whenever I have something I really, really dread, I always tell myself "by tomorrow night, this will all be over with." Oddly enough, that makes things easier for me to handle, as I know I only have to be strong for "X" more time.
Know that all of your forum-friends will be thinking about you, sending prayers and well-wishes your way. Of course we'll want to hear a full report soon, too!

There is really nothing to be scared of. I have had this several times. The first time I even drove home (which I will never do) Take dark glasses with you, you will need them for a few hours.
Good luck! All our thoughts will be with you.

| | | Hi Beth
A couple of years ago I had holes drilled in my irises with laser... luckily for me, I did not know it had to be done till about 5 mins before the doc did it (apparently it was an emergency) I actually had it done 2 days in a row, took about 20 mins each time and although I did not relish the idea of it I can't say it was painful... not exactly relaxing, but preferable to dental cleaning in terms of discomfort... when I learned i had to go back and do it again the next day I was not really stressed at all about it, so that should show how it didn't hurt.. good luck and try not to worry...

| | Hope you have as much success with your laser surgery as I have the past 7 months. Had a check up this week and all is well. I had no pain. Had my first laser treatment in Dec and the second one in March. My retina doctor was happy with eyes yesterday. So far just one eye. Good luck today. I see it is after midnight. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
