| | | Red Spots Excuse me for my ignorance but does it mean anything if you have a small red spot ON your eye? As in on the white part of you eye?
I suppose all of those little red lines are somewhat normal (like "lite bloodshot"), but what about a little red spot?

| | | I had one once, it was kinda big. The doctor just said it was a popped vessel or something minor and it would go away, and it did.......

| | That's what happens when you watch TV in the dark! Just kidding, i've had this happen before and its always went away. I didn't have diabetes then, so it really didn't bother me like it would now. I
I've also heard of people bursting the little blood vessels in the eye after they've coughed too hard or had a stomach virus with lots of vomiting.

| | | Injecto,
After my surgeries, I was pretty nervous about my eyes. When I got a red spot like you have, I called the Optho right away. He asked if I had allergies or had been sneezing. He said those frequently cause red spots on the whites of your eyes. Mine went away in a week or two.

| | | Diabetic wise most likely not. While blood gets to the iris it doesnt "bathe" the blood like in back of the eye which is why when we have high blod sugrs and uncontrolled diabetes (and some no matter how perfect just get screwed, but it far fewer of a population compared to controlled diabetics) we get mostly retinal problems; there is a strong and good amount of blood going to your retina.
Non diabetic wise, did you scratch or irritate your eye? Sometime little things like this just happen. If it were I, i would just make sure it didn't get any worse (ie; it gets bigger in diameter, richer in blood, etc) and if it did get in to see an optho. |
