Report: 1 month after vitrectomy

I'm a lurker on this board and post every once in a while, but thought I would share my story.

Tomorrow will be one month since my vitrectomy in my left eye. Vision was very slow to come back, and almost had to go back for another "clearing". At my eye appt this past Friday, the doc was pleased with my progress and cancelled the 2nd surgery which was scheduled for today - WHEW!
After a long 6-9 months (maybe longer) with minimal vision at best, I am now seeing fairly well in my left eye and realizing daily improvement. Doc stated that there is still much blood to clear out and much vision to still come back. Needless to say, I'm in awe with modern medicine and should have decided on doing this sooner.

Good luck to anyone that has had this "procedure" or is deciding on it...

Jibbi, thanks for the update. Glad to hear things are going well for you! We are certainly blessed to live in this day and age where more treatments are available to us.

Hey, thanks for posting. It is a remarkable procedure. Beats the heck out of going to the movies
