| | | Eye problem...maybe? So for a couple of months now I've had this weird feeling where if I look up into the corner of my eyes (like looking up toward where the hour hand would be at 1:30), my brain feels like it "freezes" for less than a second and then everything goes back to normal, but I do tend to have that disconnected feeling like when I'm low. I check my bg right after and I'm never low, so it's a weird feeling that I just chalked up to maybe being tired or stressed.
Then last night I was sitting on my bed, playing with PJ, and I was looking at her nose. All of a sudden the little dents on the sides of her nose started strobing. I got that disconnected feeling again, laid my head back until the feeling went away, and was fine. That strobing I just can't get out of my head that it was a sign of something else being wrong.
Anyone else ever have a strobing visual like that, out of nowhere? I stay away from strobe lights because they bring on migraines in me (I have a migraine disorder that originates in the same part of the brain that seizures do, so strobes trigger the migraines much like they would trigger a seizure).
I can't find any reference to strobing vision with Dr. Google, other than the possibility of retinal detachment...that's a scary thought! But it's not constant, and happens only occasionally... thoughts? |

| | | I don't have low bp, I take two meds for my bp...enalapril and atenolol. What other meds would cause it? I also take pravastatin. |

| | | I'd definately get them checked out. Many things can affect your vision such as edema, hemmhoraging, retinal detachment, and the vitreous gel pulling away from your retina (I think). Things on the periphery may not even be noticeable, hence the need for annual exams. |

| | | When my retina detached, it looked like a see-through black veil over the inner upper third of my vision. The retina guy said it could also appear as a huge influx of floaters, flashes of light, or constant sparkles.
If it were me, I'd get it checked out by either a retina specialist or a neurologist. It would put me at ease. IMHO, Mich |

| | I had my annual exam back in April. Everything was fine except for a slightly higher pressure in my right eye (25 I think). This thing happened in my left eye, so I'll still make an appointment, but I do always have my annual exam with dilation. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
