| | | Hemming again Shortly after waking this morning I noticed black streaming in my left eye, the bad one. Poop!
I know it's probably not real serious as there's no neovascularization or edema, but it still sucks the life out of you
Unlike last year it's very fluid and constantly changing. One minute there's 5 streams and the next there's just scattered tiny dots. It's like a fancy snow-globe. I could watch it all day

| | | WELL NUTS!!!
John, I know you didn't want to deal with this. Maybe it will clear in a few weeks and nothing else will happen. Maybe all you need is a little zap in that one area.
I'll be thinking of you and hoping to hear good news.
Mich, patting you on the shoulder. (long arm) |

| | | Ahh! I know exactly what you mean. I had them so frequently that I fear opening my eyes in the morning, afraid one will be there. I've had a cold and my eyes have that errie ache feeling right now.
Your painting could be used in a therapists office...it would make me whince or scream or both. But it defininately describes those stringy floaters. And I definately "played" with them when I had them. (How strange I must have looked to my students...my eyes following something that they could not see)
I hope that it turns out to be nothing serious for you!

| | | As far as I can tell it didn't last long and it didn't bleed much. The strings are all gone and there's a light haze left.
My optho's office, Dr. is away, had me go to ER so I could be referred to the optho on call. *sigh* A wasted effort as he says wait till The Grunter returns.

| | X, glad to hear things are clearing up a bit. Whew, huh?
Robijo, I cracked up. I mistake my little pet floater for a gnat every now and then...

| | | Finally saw The Grunter today.
He says my eyes look great and he can't find any bleeders. It was probably the of the fine ones on the edges. The one he treated six weeks ago looks good too. Nothing to worry about, but he want to check it again in two more months.

But I have to tell you - and PLEASE, PLEASE don't get offended! - my first assiciation to "black streaming" was the alien-caused black liqud in the eyes, that we saw in the X-Files Movie, you know what I mean??
So, X, are you one of THEM or one of US????
