Moving white spots

I recently had some laser treatment on my left eye (last week) and I have noticed a small white spot ocassionally moving up or down on the very edge of my vision.

It feels as is someone is shining a small torch on the wall next to me. I only see this occasionally and was wondering if I should speak to my specialist about it.

Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy,

After laser treatment, I noticed a white spot like a light moving across the inside of my eyelid when I closed my eyes. It seemed to occur less often as time went by. After my surgeries, I noticed it was back and once again, it went away as time passed. I interpreted it as a sign that I was healing from the inflammation each time.

Of course I could be completely full of beans.

BUT...you are not alone with this and it did seem to go away and caused me no problems.

Mich

Mention it next time you see him.

I wouldn't worry too much unless it decides to worsen. I'm so used to floaters and flashers and **** ers that I barely pay attention any more.

Try these

Flashes and Floaters
Eye Floater Treatment & Information

Eye-Floaters.com • Eye Floaters
Floaters and Flashers

Cheers X.

Shame I have to learn a new language to understand them

I will see ho they go over the next few days. I don't quite match the symptoms in the articles as it one spot that occurs from time to time, mainly in dark conditions and at the very edge of my peripheral vision.

If it becomes more common I will be back in touch with the eye hospital. I am a bit nervous about it at the moment.

I chickened out! I phoned the hospital and they have me booked in for an appointmnt on friday to have a look.

It messes up my day but I need to satisfy myself it is not serious. Let's hope my little daughter behaves herself while we are in the hospital.

The effect mentioned above can become apparent only in case of viral disease. Everything should be OK in case of common cold.

Sorry guys, thought I had already posted... I am fine. Nothing to worry about.

Had a further follow up and my eye is reacting well to the laser and I have another routine check up due in 2 months.
