| | | Off I go......... My eye doctors here in Anchorage are suppose to be the best in the state ........what a bunch of jackasses if you ask me. 750 bucks for a half hour office visit. While I was there the Dr told me what was wrong and what I should do...get a shot of Avastin. Told him I wanted to think on it. He said fine. If I decided I wanted to do it just call back, tell them I want it done. So....I call, nurse said nope, you have to be checked first...wait..I was just there. Well something could have changed.......This just sounded to me like they wanted another 750 outta me.
I called my old surgeon in Washington and talked to him about this.....he said that didn't sound right. He said also laser should have been discussed to be done 6 weeks AFTER the shot......but there was no mention of this from the Dr's here in Alaska.
So in the words of Cartman (screw you guys screw you guys screw you guys I'm outta here!)
I'm flying out mid January to Washington to see my old surgeon. |

The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shakin' hands, sayin' "How do you do?"
They're really saying "I love you"

| | That sucks Alaska but good that you are able to go see your old doctor.
I have an eye appt on Jan 4th. No matter how much the bill is, I only pay my specialist co-pay which is only $40.

| Yep, Just an excuse for $750 more. I think it would be better to see a doctor who do the same and if not a better job in the states other than ankeridge as for that amount of money, It's worth the trip. Quote:

| | | $750 !?!?!?! That's incredible, when I saw my optician 3 weeks ago it was €30 ($50) and I got a very good examination. In fact I called her to thank her afterwards as she was the one that sent me to the GP as she suspected Diabetes, she said no problem and if I need a follow up to just drop in and that there won't be a charge.
Think you're right to head to Washington, you get to see someone you obviously trust and meet some friends too.

Mini M&G???? Lets set it up.
Alaska, sorry to hear that the docs up there are money hungry morons. But at least you have alternatives that you can work with.
