Are these proliferative vessels, caused by other vessels being blocked?

Here's a simulation of my end-of-day vision after a day of mixing, left & right. I do get a bit dizzy. | That sucks. I think I'd have to wear a patch or something over the affected eye until it cleared up or something...
Hope it all gets back to normal soon. |

Hope it all gets back to normal soon. | The brain is an amazing thing. Right eye closed and the world is veiled. Both eyes open, you notice a bit of blurr and lack of depth, maybe about 10% noticeable.
After I said I didn't notice any clearing, I was laying in bed and just seeing the numbers on the alarm clock about 8 ft away. That's a big improvement. I could see fairly clearly laying in bed this morning, until I got up and started moving.
I doubt we'll do any laser tomorrow.
Going to see Bob Dylan tonight. Should be interesting in a dark 8000 seat arena. |

There no neovascularization at all. I believe they are just damaged vessels that busted open. I wonder if my improved control over the last two years has played a part. |

| | Sorry X...can't say anything to make it better but, hopefully it'll just go away...I had bleeds when I was preggie 23+ years ago, I had a real bad 1 in the right and some in my left...I had them lazered right away and don't have any others but a few floaters here & there...they're a real inconvenience
I have to lay my head back and close my eyes for 15 min. or so for them to go away-I'm 45 now so the Opto and Ophth Drs. say they might continue to be small since I stopped them so early-listen to them ....they are EDUCATED guessers!!!
No one knows what'll happen to us...we can only take 1 day at a time and try to make tomorrow happy too!

| | Hi Xm
So, so sorry to hear about your worrying eye condition but glad you're chilling and gigging tonight. I am sure you'll be fine and it is probably an old wound which can be put right. You've obviously got great control now so no further damage is happening.
Take it easy and have fun. Keep reporting your progress. |

Dylan was pretty good. | John, Way back in grade school in one science class there was a film that illustrated how amazingly the brain can compensate for things - sorta like you mentioned. The experiment was to have this guy wear a special pair of goggles that flipped his vision upside-down. He stumbled around for a few days then overnight his brain flipped the images upside down. He saw the world normally again while wearing the goggles! He could run, throw, catch, etc. Then taking the glasses off, everything was upside down again for a couple days before returning entirely to normal.
Oh, and another: I once attended a conference where IBM research was presenting on various human factors research. There was one particular note that I recall these many years later. It was mentioned that audio quality has a disproportionately overwhelming effect on perceived image quality. In other words, if the sounds are good enough, corresponding images appear to have a much higher quality.
I'm not sure if those are even interesting to you at this point - just thought I'd share those little factoids. I hope your vision improves and soon.

| | Hey John,
Okay, I'm impressed you went to see Big Bob. Last time I saw him he was also some good, some bad, but the good was oh-so-good. Or maybe I'm just reliving my past.
It's a pain in the you-know to wait for the back of your vitreous sack to pull loose from your retina. Everyone's does it as they age but only us lucky diabetics have the neovascular growth to bleed. I've been going through this since my last V. Bleed. Clear. Bleed. Clear. Eventually I hope I will get through the entire process without needing further intervention. So far, so good.
Look on it as a temporary inconvenience and I will hope along with you that it is.
"If I had wings and I could fly,
I know where I would go.
But right now I'll just sit here so contentedly
And watch the river flow." Bob Dylan
Hang in there. Mich |

17. Like A Rolling Stone (Bob on keyboard)
The bolded were great. The others were good, if you knew them I suppose. I hated his Ballad Of A Thin Man. To me it should be acoustic, not ear drum splitting loud. He was very hoarse and raspy much of the night, moreso than usual. overall it was a big step up compared to when I saw him a few years ago. This may go down as one of his better tours. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
