Morning! Lately, I have been having trouble with my eyes.
I think it's diabetes related but, not sure. The best way to describe it-it's like I see little white figures or shadows running from front to back in my perrifferal(sp?) vision. It doesn't happen all the time tho.

I have also notice that I am having a hard time distinquishing light yellow and white. When I go outside, the sun is really bright/intense. I wear photogray lens 24/7-but my eyes still feel like I am wearing no sun shade protection.

Yah, I am due for an eye visit-really need bi-focals...tired of sliding glasses on nose to read things-ha ha Has anyone else had these problems? Could some of these problems be related to the meds-glucophage, Lantus, penicillian, and Cleosin that I am taking? Any help, much appreciated. lazydaizy

I just catch sight of something in my periferal(sp) vision -

I hate to say it but I may have something similar. I see what I call "ghosts" (kind of a white mist) a lot and light causes discomfort although I can't see without bright light. Mine is caused by a disease called retinoschisis. The good news for you is only men can develop it but there may be something similar, I would encourage you to see if you are having trouble with a detached retina.

Oh good...I am not CRAZY afterall...for awhile there I thought that with some additional stress that we have been going thru, that I was starting to wig out or maybe I was a little bit too tired.
Thank you "lg" for the retinoschisis definition. I will definetly go see an opthomologist-don't want to take a chance with my sight.

I hope it's something you don't have, but it might not hurt to ask about something like a detached retina.

I don't want to panic you but you need to see someone about this as soon as possible! I think peripheral vision is one of the things to go first with retinal problems. We are probably all wrong, and all the opthamologist will tell you is that the problem is due to something trivial. GOOD LUCK!
