Diabetes & LASIK surgery

Have any of you Type I's had LASIK surgery? If so, how did things turn out. My endo says no problem and the eye doctor says he'll do it if my sugar is stable. I haven't met anyone who has had the surgery who is diabetic.

I did it before my sugars are what I now consider "stable" (pre-pump) and I'd do it again if I had to. It's been over 5 years and no noteworthy complications.

I have not had it, but at a guess I would have said that as long as you have no signs of eye complications, you should not be anymore at risk then anyone else.
