Anyways, about 4 months ago I was suffering with a bout of pink eye at least I thought. I visited my opthamoligist because it just wasn't going away with antibiotics from my family doc. The opthamologist diagnosed it as keratitis and not pink eye. He wrote me a script and off I went. Now I'm thinking it could have been related to this eye solution. I haven't used the solution in awhile because I found another brand on clearance so I'm really relieved I haven't used it in awhile. What really sucks is the eye that was infected was my bad, soon to be glaucoma eye. Who knows if it did any further damage. This is really frustrating! |
Yikes, Sandi! I sure would give the doctor a call and at least ask if he thinks there was any correlation (which sounds like there was)...I too, was a fan of the solution, and went so far as to rinse my eyes with it (i.e. wash out debris, etc.).

Bausch & Lomb is a reputable company, so I'm rather surprised by this incident.
Like you, I started using an off-brand solution because prices were better (i.e. Equate Multi-purpose solution from Wally World). Now that the Bausch & Lomb one has been recalled, I found a couple of bottles of it laying around (luckily, they were ones I hadn't been using!).
I don't wear contacts too often, but would rather not have to worry when I do. This whole thing concerns me a bit, and will definitely make me more cautious about which solution I choose.
