Hi!

Well, I am new here, but not new to being a diabetic person. I was diagnosed with type 2 after my fourth child was born...so around four years ago.

I had gestational diabetes with my first four pregnancies, so I guess it was inevitable that I would become a type 2 diabetic at some point in my life. I'm now on MDIs of Lantus and Humalog and will be seeing an endo in the next month to talk about getting onto a pump.

I saw my internist today and she's decided to check my c-peptide level since she's actually not sure that I even have type 2, and thinks that I may be more like a type 1.5. I'll get those results next week, after the holiday of course.

I found your site while googling about pumps and saw some lively discussions and lots of like-minded people, so I figured I'd join in.

Thanks for the site!
Rikki

Same here. Had gestational diabetes with my 3 pregnancies. Went back to normal readings after the first 2 pregnancies but stayed in the 'grey' area after my last child. Was diagnosed a year later.

Hi Rikki: Good To See Ya. Ya, one of my Friends was fine with her
1st pregnancy, had gestational diabetes with her second and third,
then dxd. about 3 yrs. after the 3rd child. That was about 11 ys. ago
and says she is doing fine, thankfully.

I hope that you are doing okay and enjoy the Forums. Take Care.
