| | New Here Hi Everyone! I am new to this forum and thought I would introduce myself. Soooo... Type 1 for 20 years. Wear a Miini-Med Paradigm. I am looking foreward to talking with people who "know how it feels"
I'll start with a question. After 6 years on a pump, I only put the infusion in my abdomen. I know I need to move it more, but I can't imagine how it would work. I wear jeans a lot, and t-shirts. Any ideas?? |

| | Welcome Jenn
We're a pretty nice bunch~ so I'm sure you will fit right in ...
I am a pumper, also wear a MM 511 pump... For a while I stuck only to using abdomen sites, but then I knew I had to expand on the sites I use. For me, my legs are NOT good- I don't get good delivery and there are times where I've yanked the set out... I honestly haven't tried my arms, but I can't see how that would be comfy . Then I tried my lower back and love handle area and was surprised at how well these areas work... I would recommend trying it yourself...
I know what works for me may not work for you, but I think the only way you will know is if you give it a shot! Live and learn
Best of luck!

| | | Yeah, legs didn't work for me either...and painful to insert! I've never tried the arms because injections REALLY hurt there (can you see a pattern here pertaining to avoiding pain???). I do use my upper buttocks and hips and have no problems.

| | | Welcome to the forum, Jenn.
I've been pumping since mid-December and have only used my abdomen area. I stay on one side for about 2 weeks, rotating sites every 3 days and then switch over to the other side for another 2 weeks. So far this has worked for me.

| | | Welcome to the site. I've been pumping almost 4 years and have stuck with my abdomen, although I can tell I need to start expanding my area. I did try my upper butt once, and the first set didn't work to great, lasted about 1.5 days. The second set I tried worked for the full 3. Although it was a pain in the butt (HAHAHAHA) to remove. It was a time like that I need a girl that doesn't mind pulling some tape off my butt.
