| | New Member Hi:
I am new to this site. I have been a diabetic for over 30 years. Have been on the pump for 5 years. Recently got the Paradigm 522 with the BD meter. Had a rocky start, but have finally tweaked it and my numbers are fine. The pump is the best thing that has happened to me. Have no complications so far. I test seven to ten times a day and am intent on keep the complications at bay as long as I can. Looking forward to reading posts from other pumpers. |

| | | Welcome to the forum - there are a lot of pumpers here that are interested in others experiences - I am not one of them(not a pumper that is)
Everyone can learn from all our experiences. |

Welcome aboard, Doris. After many, many phone calls (about 6-7 just today), my wife's purple 522 is sheduled to arrive by 10:30 AM tomorrow. You could say she's a teensy weensy bit excited. <g> She's using my 6 year-old 508. We get to trade in her 507 for $400, making our OOP just $82. I thought we'd have to turn in the 508, but that's registered to me and would have fetched $500 trade in, but we are happy we get to keep it and get the $400 for the older 507. Funny how that worked out. MM even upgraded our shipping to overnight!! |

| | | Hello and welcome to the forum. You have been a diabetic for 30 years...? Has the understanding, diagnosis, and treatments of diabetes changed much during that time? If so, what is different now compared to 30 years ago? I am sorry if this seems like a dumb questions, I an a newbie to diabetes. How long have the personal meters been available for consumers?
