Question new to type two

hope i have now got this thing worked out now had a time trying to get on
just to say that i have known that i am a type 2
diabetic from june 6 06 now. was at 240 on the blood sugar
but now i am at this time at 102 and have gotten down to 84
not trying to blow my own horn here, but just to show any other new diabetes
that joins here and upset about the fact that they have diabetes like i did
that you can take control of it. just my way to face any thing bad is to hit as hard as i can and head to head and not stop, that comes from being a firefighter

Well, you have started off with the correct approach. I agree that taking this seriously and make whatever adjustments to our lifestyles should be done aggressivily - and the sooner the better. Not my usual way of handling thing, for some reason it just seemed the right way to handle this.

I believe that doctors, friends and ourselves sometimes don't have the confidence when to comes to the treatment for type 2. My doctor put me on metfromin 500 3/day and Avandia 2mg 2/day. That is aggressive - at first it put me off some to have him prescribe such a high dose so quick. Now I am glad that he did - I am sure he just did not think that I woud make the changes necessary so he over prescribed the meds to help. I surpirsed even myself.

What I am getting at is your take it head on is great.
