I'm Jan, and I'm a type 2 diabetic. ("Hi, Jan!") I was first diagnosed during my first pregnancy, when they thought it was just GD, but then it didn't go away afterwards. I was sort of in a borderline area between true diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance for awhile, but last January my endo told me that I might as well consider myself as really diabetic, considering that my fasting levels at the time were running around 130-140 or so.
Anyway, I am now pregnant with my third baby, due on May 27, and am pumping insulin for the duration. I got an insulin pump during my 2nd pregnancy and loved it, as I get much better control than I did with MDI, not to mention that it's so much easier than carrying needles around in my sunglasses case like I used to. I've already posted in the Insulin Pumpers forum but thought I should make an official introduction here.
