New here

Hi Everyone:

I am a new member here. I have had diabetes for almost 33 years and have used a Minimed pump off and on since 1989. I just started using an Omnipod on Wednesday and found this board by doing a search on the Omnipod.

I have been married for 26 years and am the proud "mother" of 2 beautiful Golden Retrievers.

I look forward to meeting everyone!
Sandy

Thank you for the warm welcome!

Nancy: So far, I like the Omnipod but it is taking a little getting used to. Last night, around 3 AM, the pod started alarming but didn't wake me up. My poor husband was wandering around the house trying to see what the noise was. The alarm was my warning that I had 6 hours left on the pod. Need to fix that!

I also started using the Dexcom meter on the same day, so I need to learn 2 new machines and 2 different sets of alarms. I guess my head is spinning just a bit right now.
