Hey all!

Hey all,

I was diagnosed ~4 months ago after I had gotten sick in December. I'm glad to find a community where I can chat about stuff like checkups and just how other diabetics deal with things.

I forgot to add that i'm also allergic to milk, penicillin, and a bunch of other things which have made my short time with diabetes pretty rough since I can't drink milk I haven't been getting a lot of the essential nutrients like calcium etc and the doctors think that that might have contributed to me getting diabetes.

I should be more active tomorrow cause it's 12:30 AM here in Quebec, Canada and I need to get some sleep.

Elliott

Welcome Elliot to the forums. You've definately come to the right place. There are a lot of knowledgeable people and very supportive as well. Tell us more about yourself. What type of diabetes do you have? Are you on insulin or medication? Take care and good luck....

Oh. Sorry about that. I have type 1 and i'm on 4 injections a day with novorapid (short acting) and levemir (long acting). I don't take any medication other than calcium pills (6x/day ) and vitamins.

I use a FreeStyle Mini and I use the Novo Nordisk NovoPen's

P.S: Thanks for the warm welcome
