Very happy to find you all!
I was diagnosed 6 days ago with type 2. My reading on the day of diagnosis was 18 mmol/l (all my subsequent readings have been between 15 and 22 mmol/l)
I'm a 44 year old male

. I'm overweight by about 40 kgs

. I get little/no execise. That all changed when I left the doctors rooms.
I'm now on glucophage 1000mg twice a day.
An impossible thirst and the fact that I was urinating about 6 times a night

cause me to seak an answer on the net which in turn got me to the doctor.
I tested straight after gym tonight and had a reading of 8.1 mmol/l. What's up with that?
Thanks to xMenace for the newbies link! Simple sound advice that in the dark days immidiately post diagnosis, one simply doesn't think of.
