Post Hello....

I'm new here. Found out I'm a Type II in July but have had neuropathy for 10 years. Hope keeping D in check will prevent neuropathy from getting worse. I've had a few problems with hypoglecemia. Not fun. Looking forward to reading your posts. Every bit of knowledge helps.

Welcome to the forums what kind of meds are you taking? Are you on a lower carb diet and are you getting enough exercise those are some of the keys to fighting diabetes.

Tried to control it with diet and exercise as my mother was able to do for years, but didn't work for me. I take Januvia in p.m. Amitriptylin 60mg for neuropathy pain at bedtime. Norvasc (BP) and Toprol (rapid pulse) along with PreserVision for eye health. I'm not overweight and get exercise: Water exercise, yoga/weekly, gardening and walk a mile on days I don't go to class. I've found it's all about portion size and I get carried away sometimes.

G'day bamaginny, Welcome to Df .
What a lovely part of the world you live in.
I often look at the webcams of MI especially in your Winters.
I've not come down to the correct sized portion for my needs.. & I'm overweight
