I am new to this site. I have had diabetes over 30 years and now trying out this Cozmo pump. Been having trouble with blockage in the tubing. Changed insulin type, tubing types and re-trained just in case I was doing something wrong. Everyone is puzzled. Even the Cozmo1700 pump has been replaced.
It would work for about 3 months then air bubble blocks get into the line. I would leave the insulin out to room temp and still the same thing. It would work again for 3 months and bam another block. I have notice usually big ones happen when I get out of bed. Being I have a transplant I got to nip this real quick. I am now on the Novolog insulin pen.
Anyone else with this problem?

Welcome to Diabetes Forums.

I have had a couple of problems with bent cannulas and one or two blocked cannulas. I solved the problem with IV3000 under the sets. I won't go into the long explanation. Just put down some type of small patch of IV tape and put the cannula through it. It helps.

I have been using the IV tape on the outside so I don't accidently snatch it out. Thanks, that another try for tommorow.

I concur that most of my set failures are due to set movement. I now put an IV3000 down first then dab the set with some Friar's balsam aka Tincture of Benzoin. It glues it down well. This last step so far has really helped.

I find they don't teach how to get rid of bubbles the same as they did 30 years ago. If there's any sign of bubbles when I fill the canister, I'll give it some real hard flicks, expel all I can, then let it sit satnding up for several minutes before I prime.

Gotcha, I am going to try one more time today. I have had a kidney transplant going on 5 years. I got to get this bloodsugar rollar coaster in gear. The shots drop it too fast where as the pump when working would slowly drip to keep it stablize.
I found out that I was spilling protein in my urine, but the doctor said not to worry that I am taking medicine for that. I got 50% kidney function for the one kidney and have an appt. June in Atlanta for my yearly check-up with transplant clinic.

I have the Medtronic Minimed Paradigm pump and have used it for about 2 years. I'm a loyal Medtronic customer and have been for 8 years now, upgrading as the technology gets better. Maybe you should give their products a try. I have had very few problems, and if I have trouble, or just a question, their help line is great - and they don't make you feel like an idiot and are very polite/respectful.

Also, I don't know the Cozmo, but have you tried other infusion types? It could be the length of canula, or you may need another type of set that has a different way of actually connecting to your skin.
