Smile mominwisconsin

Hi,this is my first entry. I'am a mom of a 9 year old girl with Type 1 Diabetes. She is currently using the Medtronic Minimed Pump. I have recently seen information on the Omnipod insulin delivery system. Wondering if any one out there has any experience with it---good or bad. I gave what info I had to her Dr.--but had never heard of it. I'm trying to gather good and bad information. Would appreciate if I could get some responses.
Thank you,
Mom in Wisconsin

Move your question over to the type1 area of the site. You might get more responses.

Hey Mom.

Where are you?

I am currently on vacation with my family in Madison staying the next two nights at Union South.

I know nothing about the Omnipod.

Welcome to the forums. I'm not pumping yet, but I have heard that the costs associated with the OmniPod end up being higher over time. I've also heard that those costs are well worth it, because there are no infusion sets, or tubing, or resevoirs to fool with.

Again, welcome.
